SLY & ARNOLD MAKING ESCAPE PLAN 4, FEMALE EXPENDABELLES GOING AHEAD

It’s all coming out of Bulgarian news lately.  With The Expendables 4 at least partially returning to the country, Sylvester Stallone appears to have been talking to their media in recent times.  As well as confirming the fourth Expendables movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stallone told Flagman.bg that they’re making ‘at least’ one other movie, starting with Escape Plan 4.

This time, Sylvester Stallone promised to bring Arnold Schwarzenegger back into production and mysteriously added that the two would star in at least one more film together. It’s supposed to be another fourquel, with Escape Plan 4.

With the Escape Plan sequels that have come already being some of the worst movies ever made, something which Sylvester Stallone even openly admitted to, they’ll have their work cut out for this one.

THE EXPENDABELLES

Anyone remember the persistent rumors of a female Expendables spin off?  That rumor is back, with Bulgarian media claiming that the movie is going ahead.  With Meryl Streep and Cameron Diaz.  The same source adds:

Sly also said that the planned female version of The Expendables might finally be made. It is known that the main roles in it will be played by Cameron Diaz and Meryl Streep, who have repeatedly stated that they can’t wait to shoot Kalashnikovs and enter battles and action. He also expected to be filmed in Bulgaria.

Bizarre casting, if true.  I mean, who are the female equivalents of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger?  You’d surely be looking at Linda Hamilton or Sigourney Weaver.  This is not the only rumored Expendables spin off.  Another is The Expendables: A Christmas Story, where Jason Statham’s Christmas gets his own movie.
