STALLONE TO PLAY GANGSTER IN NEW TV SERIES

Sylvester Stallone has made scores of movies but gangster-themed projects have been surprisingly few on his resume.  In fact, it’s possibly because these movies have not been entirely successful for him.  The likes of Avenging Angelo and Get Carter were poorly received.

Now though, Stallone tells fans on his discussion forums that he’s returning to the genre.

I will be playing a gangster in a streaming series soon called The King of Kansas City

Google shows nothing.  So no further context beyond that is available.  As it turns out, this will actually be Sylvester Stallone’s first actual full fictional TV series, assuming the character is a regular (which it might not be).  Stallone’s last and only other TV series was The Contender, a boxing reality series which was fairly good.

Elsewhere, Stallone mentions that it’s unlikely that he and Jackie Chan will ever make a movie together, although not on account of any animosity between the two, with both men liking each other.
