CHAN: RUSH HOUR 4 HAPPENING

The Rush Hour franchise has been dormant for some time.  The first movie was released in 1998 and the presume third and final in 2007.  Now though, via Deadline, Jackie Chan has teased a fourth entry in the franchise…

Chan told an audience at the Red Sea Film Festival that the movie was going ahead, but did not give specifics.  Director Brett Ratner has been MeeTooed, so it probably won’t be him.  Chan also said he was about to quit Hollywood before the original movie;

“My manager said look, there’s a script, and it’s called Rush Hour. I said no, Hong Kong police? I’m not going to do it. He said Jackie, why don’t you try last time. I said okay, this is the last time.”

Well, we all know how it turned out.
