UPDATED: EX4 RELEASE DATE REVEALED – LAST IN SERIES

UPDATED: We have a release date for this movie, as seen below.  With talk of Sylvester Stallone not being in the movie as much as the original trilogy roles he had and confirmation that no new big 1980s/1990s action stars are being added, some are wondering what will come next.

… Stallone told fans on his Official Forums.  Feedback has been mixed so far, from what we’ve seen from those who have seen the movie in part or in full.

However, will it really be the end?  The brands alone can be VOD-Milked.  Why wouldn’t the likes of Avi Lerner go ahead and do that?  And would he even tell Sylvester Stallone if he was going to?

PREVIOUSLY: Lionsgate has just announced the arrival of The Expendables 4 for September 22nd.

50 Cent, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia join this entry of the franchise alongside returnees Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture.

Synopsis:  Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give the term ‘new blood’ a whole new meaning.

Scott Waugh directs the movie, but it will face an uphill struggle to right the wrongs of the disastrous third entry.
