Fredrik Bond, the director of Charlie Countryman (haven’t seen it, is it any good, anyone?) is said to be in talks to direct London Has Fallen. Basically, that’s the only real news on this movie.
Filming had recently been delayed from September to December. The film will shoot primarily in Bulgaria. It’s not clear why the delay has come in yet. A director is also still not officially attached to the movie.
However it looks like it’s probably routine scheduling as work is currently ongoing at Nu Boyana studios in Bulgaria to create physical reproductions of some of the tallest buildings in London. This was confirmed to ManlyMovie by a source close to Nu Boyana a few weeks ago, the constructions being described as “huge”.
Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart are the only confirmed returning cast members. I’m not sure why Morgan Freeman is constantly attached, since he denied involvement earlier in the year. Maybe he has signed on since…
