In August Sylvester Stallone confirmed a harder cut of The Expendables 3 for home release. Turns out that it’s called The Expendables 3: A Man’s Job, at least in Germany anyway. Now though, IGN has the trailer for this release. Reader Sergei sent this in and rightly pointed out that it looks far from an unrated trailer.
And he is correct, because just to be sure IGN is saying: “We’ve got the exclusive debut of the trailer.” I’m guessing they’re not too put out about winning back upset fans and are more interested in getting people to double dip, so to speak?
Anyway, they also say:
The Expendables 3 Blu-ray will hit on November 25 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The film debuts On Demand the same day. The Blu-ray Combo Pack will include the unrated version of the film that features “more action, more explosions, more fights — and a higher body count” than the PG-13 theatrical version.
The Blu-ray Combo Pack will also feature the original theatrical movie, an immersive Dolby Atmos soundtrack experience, and more. Plus, both versions of the film will be available two weeks earlier on Digital HD on November 11. Also available November 25, The Expendables 3 DVD (plus Digital) will include only the original theatrical version of the film.
As well as the uh, unrated trailer, where the word FUCK is censored, they’ve released footage of Jason Statham’s stunt gone wrong. The brakes failed, although that is not what our source from the set claimed. Check out both clips and the artwork for the release below.
