The Horseman (2009)
Another film from obscurity here, this time from Australia.
There is one thing that is hard to beat and that is a revenge thriller. Big Charlie made a career out of them and, often, the more brutal the punishment, the better. In this movie a father has been wronged when his daughter was taken advantage of by the scummy, seedy porn underworld. Worse, they’re distributing videos featuring his daughter. Big mistake. And so the man goes on a rampage of savage mutilation that would raise the eyebrows of the most hardened LiveLeak subscriber.
Australia doesn’t often get their box office efforts right, but man do they have a good knack of hitting home runs with dirty little thrillers like this.
