TOP FIVE: 1990’s Action Trailers

Come on, what else could it have been?  James Cameron told Stan Winston to create a teaser that would make it clear that there was more than one Terminator, as audiences had seen the original destroyed in the first movie.  A budget of $150,000 was allocated and this was what Winston came up with.  It must have been mind blowing to have seen this when it first appeared in cinemas in 1990.  I have not seen a trailer like this since, the teaser for Terminator 3 being almost pathetic by comparison.  Easily then, this is the greatest action trailer of the 1990’s, for probably the greatest action movie of the 1990’s to boot.  Remember, the days when the words “I’ll be back” were worth more than anything men dressed as rodents had to say…
