5 Unfairly Lambasted Rotten Tomatoes Manly Movies
1. Predator 2 (25%)
I’ve already mentioned Predators. What a fucking disappointment that was. Every original idea they had for it stank and the only good things were transplanted directly from John McTiernan’s masterpiece and thrown in there like illegally harvested organs into a kind of dumb, inept Frankenstein’s monster of a film. Predator 2 on the other hand, as we all know, is the real thing, the only worthy sequel to Predator thus far.
Written by the same guys who wrote the first one, as opposed to some new generation piss ants who must have felt like they’d won the lottery when they got their grubby hands on the property, and featuring a stellar cast of action icons – Glover, Paxton, Busey, Davi. Maria Conchita Alonso plays a tough, but believable female cop that we can respect and actually like, kind of like the 90s’ answer to Vasquez from Aliens. Who was that chick in Predators? I’ve already forgotten. And Predator 2 currently has a score of 25 percent on the critical cock-hive. Bill Paxton’s heroic death scene on the subway by itself is worth more than that. Ridiculous.
