Top Five Things Need For Resident Evil Reboot
2) Get A Real Director
Back in the day, maybe around 1999, George Romero, the original zombie master, was hired to direct the original movie. He was let go (or left), Anderson was hired, the rest was (16 year long) history. This time they need someone with a different vision, not just some studio yes-man hack. Since Romero will be too old by the time they get this thing ready, I want to see someone like Frank Darabont, G. Cameron Romero or even Ti West.
Preferably a director who has played the games or at least has recognised that the remakes of the old games are actually now more popular than the trashy action games that the later sequels actually became. We need someone who appreciates the art of understatement and not some hack who indulges in bombastic nonsense. Even better if the guy is a writer who has written his own screenplay and isn’t really open to compromise.
