5) Taken (2008)
I love it when fanboys get their little panties in a twist if ManlyMovie tells it like it is and points out that such and such a movie is pretty crappy. The old lie that we only rate movies that are R-rated is a funny one. Anyway, this idea was suggested by a friend. Good call I thought. Here is a list of five of the manliest movies that so happen to have a PG-13 rating.
Starting with Taken. Although first of all my view might be slightly skewed since we are based in Europe and that is the only version I have seen, which is R-rated, the movie itself is still manly. It put gas back in the tank of those actors over the hill, with regards to those who said they couldn’t pull it off any more. It is however a pity about the sequels. They were pretty much trash and the harder cut of Taken 3 didn’t help much at all.
