The Expendables 3 Leaker Arrested

Last year The Expendables 3 was leaked prematurely to the public.  The DVD quality screener kind of kicked the movie in the balls – although Sylvester Stallone and Avi Lerner got there first.  You can read more about the leak here, and how/where the leaker leaked it here.

Now, it seems that the law has finally caught up with the man who put the screener out there in the first place.  He was arrested in the UK this week. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation between the UK’s Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations and the MPAA. The 26-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was arrested at his workplace in Leeds on Thursday morning. His Halifax home was also searched for evidence of wrongdoing.

I do recall it being mentioned last year that the leaked was sourced to Europe.  Meanwhile, Avi Lerner’s vow to file 10 million lawsuits against the people who downloaded the movie illegally is, I’m guessing, not going so well.  Up next for The Expendables?  A TV series, possibly running in tandem with The Expendables 4?
