4) Batman Returns (1992)
This is the greatest Batman movie ever. There, I said it, and I know there are legions of DC Scholars out there who probably wake up sweating about it. But hey, Tim Burton says it’s the better of the two (the other being Batman, narrowly the second best Batman movie ever). Remember, this is the one that got Burton removed (or made him walk) and killed the Michael Keaton trilogy dead in its tracks – because it was too cold.
Was it McDonalds who were unhappy? I don’t recall, but it caused a furore. I don’t profess to know the ins or outs of Batman lore, or even care to, but I do know that in my opinion Batman was alpha as fuck in this movie and was just a cool cat, plain and simple.
