TOP FIVE: Bruce Willis Movies

4) The Last Boy Scout

I actually found The Last Boy Scout back in the day to be a ‘lesser’ Willis movie.  Not just for his own career, but against his contemporaries, Gibson, Stallone, Schwarzenegger, even Van Damme. But man, it has aged well.

Some would call this an interim or de-facto Die Hard movie.  Right on!  Willis is ‘two steps away from becoming a full blown alcoholic’ (wrong movie, but right quote for this one…) and uses violence as a method of communication.  Here is a man who gives no fucks, a John McClane with an assumed identity.

Directed by Tony Scott.  Produced by Joel Silver, written by Shane Black, we really didn’t appreciate how spoiled we were 25 years ago.  A 1980s movie that had drifted into the 1990s, good action, good comedy, good lighting.  And Walter_B actually put the work in.
