2) Die Hard 2: Die Harder
A simple pointer is, if John McClane still has hair in the movie, then it’s a real Die Hard movie. I guess this formula also applies to The Last Boy Scout. Die Hard 2 is a great movie and I can’t believe there are still pissants out there who don’t celebrate it simply because it’s a sequel.
Here is the movie that had Sylvester Stallone pound on Renny Harlin’s front door begging him (I guess?) to rejuvenate his career, after girlie man slop like ‘Oscar’ had torpedoed his fortunes. If you think about it, Renny Harlin pulled off a small miracle here. A good, great even, sequel to the best action movie out there according to many people.
Remember the days when bad guys busted out martial arts moves? And the blood squib was applied by skilled artists? An amazing sequel and really, it’s kind of a toss up between which is better between this and the third.
