Heat (1995)
Personally, I think that director Michael Mann holds the distinction of having filmed the greatest movie ever made in Heat. So it’s only fitting then that it gets an amazing soundtrack.
Force Marker perfectly sets the tone for the epic bank robbery and has been used by many documentaries over the years since. New Dawn Fades is also probably the perfect way to close a movie as good as Heat.
Michael Mann as it happens has a really good knack for picking a good soundtrack, as well shall see…
Airwolf (1984)

It wasn’t just movies that could give us great action soundtracks. 1984 saw the debut of Airwolf, a nice Cold War-orientated action thriller series about a prototype stealth chopper.
Season one was scored with an orchestra, done the proper way. The seasons that followed went the synthetic route and pretty much weakened the whole thing, those types of sounds do not age well and that is no different here.
