In what some might consider Jean Claude Van Damme’s best ever movie, we get what could be his best ever movie soundtrack. Kickboxer is more than just Stan Bush’s ‘Fight For Love’… it has a cool score throughout.
It has a 1980s streak running through it, but shit, that only makes it better still. It even has Beau Williams on it for Christ’s sake. There is a remake, reboot, whatever you want to call it of this movie out soon. I am optimistic for the movie but surely its soundtrack cannot come close to this 1989 classic?

This film may not have been all that great (I think it has its charms in its own way) or lived up to the impossible expectations, but man does it ever have a killer soundtrack. The soundtrack delivers on a movie that is really not there to match it, quality wise. But what is the composer going to do, deliberately downgrade his work to junk too?
Alan Silvestri really does deserve all this love…
