Today we are going to take a look at the best action movie soundtracks, the very best in fact. This will not be a countdown feature, more of a random list of the best that have been recorded. You know, you can kind of stray into subjective territory with that.
So to start is the soundtrack for The Delta force, by Alan Silvestri, a name I think we’ll be seeing on this list quite often. This was probably Chuck Norris’ most ‘legit’ film, among the (let’s admit it) streak of crap he got involved with. And it’s fitting that this is probably the best soundtrack for a Chuck Norris movie. Alan Silvestri really helped the Cannon Group out here in their quest to make more competitive movies.

Speed (1994)
In the 1990s, specifically 1994, we were still being spoiled by movies like this. Whereas nowadays we’d be chomping at the bit for just one movie like this, back in the day Speed was just another summer blockbuster.
To match the quality of the movie, Speed amps up the adrenaline with a killer action soundtrack. Part cataclysmic, part terror, all fun. Maximum effect comes when Reeves and Bullock finally break free from the bus, with a masterful action score sending them on their way,.
It makes you almost want to watch the movie just to hear it in action…
