50 Stallone Movies Ranked From Best To Worst

48) SPY KIDS 3D: GAME OVER (2003)

The subtitle of this film was so appropriate.  For Stallone, this came at his career low era.  It followed up three awful films (and the three films before that were box office bombs), so it looked like Stallone was done.  Game Over was almost cruelly poetic.

Spy Kids 3D is terrible.  So terrible that it isn’t even one of those films where an easily satisfied kid can be entertained for an hour.  No-one liked it.  Even the trick of Stallone becoming a villain is left redundant by the awful writing and direction.

Stallone looked uncomfortable and out of place, a long way from the genre roles that made him who he was.

Worse, Spy Kids 3D appeared to inflict actual pain on viewers.  Bob Longino of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote that “the 3-D process will hurt your eyes. The onscreen characters, who also wear 3-D glasses, even say so when it’s time to take them off.”   That’s alright, Bob, people had figured out before that threshold when it was time to get up and leave.
