50 Stallone Movies Ranked From Best To Worst

15) CREED (2015)

I didn’t expect much from Creed.  While Rocky Balboa was a good update, director Ryan Coogler was an unknown and Stallone, who we all knew would be heavily contributing, had only just been involved in four sub par movies in a row (Homefront, Grudge Match, The Expendables 3 and Reach Me).

But Creed had a thoughtful script, and is a success in its own right as a spin off because Michael B. Jordan successfully portrays his own man in Adonis Creed, even if he looks a dead ringer for a young Carl Weathers.

The only downside was perhaps a weak villain, like a handful of previous movies in the universe.  This will be solved with gusto though in the sequel.  It could very well be Rocky III for the Creed series.
